Volunteers: 10 each shift
Time Commitment: 3 hour shifts Saturday, October 20 (9-12 pm, 12-3 pm, 3-6 pm)
Role: Help stuff race packets with goodies and literature provided by sponsors. Packet stuffing will take place at Race Director's house in Coppell.
Snacks will be served to all participating volunteers.
Volunteers: 5
Time Commitment: Saturday, October 27 from 1 to 4 pm
Role: Meet at the Run On! warehouse in Addison. Pull shirts by size to go to the different packet pickup locations. Help transport shirts and race packets to one of the locations.
Volunteers: 24 3-hour shirts available
Time Commitment: October 31-November 3. 3 hours shifts available: 10 am-1 pm, 1 pm-4 pm, 4 pm-7 pm. We will work with you if your time available doesn’t match up exactly to the shifts listed.
Role: Distribute runners’ packets and t-shirts at Run-On Dallas - 5400 E Mockingbird #114 - 214-821-0909
Volunteers: 6
Time Commitment: 4 hours on Saturday, November 3, 2007
Role:
Set up tables and signs in administration, bag drop, and volunteer areas. Unload and sort club merchandise for sale on race day. Unpack finisher medals from boxes and individual packaging. Unload fruit from the transport truck that picked it up from the grocery store.
Volunteers: 15
Time Commitment: Max of 4 hours
Role: Assigned a designated area to monitor along the course to keep safe for the runners and keep the runners on the course. Keep the running area clear of pedestrians, spectators, cars, etc. Enjoy yourself and cheer on the runners as they go by! In case of an emergency, course monitors contact the ambulance. For runners unable to finish the course, course monitors help contact the SAG Wagon which will pick up the runner.
Volunteers: 10
Time Commitment: Max of 2 1/2 hours
Role: Regulate volunteer parking so race participants don't park in those parking lots. Direct participants from the DART light rail trains onto the shuttles that run to the race site.
Volunteers: 10 (most can be race participants as this is a pre-race job only)
Time Commitment: Max of 2 1/2 hours
Role: Distribute runners’ packets and t-shirts
Volunteers: 20 (most can be race participants as this is a pre-race job only)
Time Commitment: Max of 2 hours
Role: Distribute chips to participants.
Volunteers: 4 (preferably at least 2 of these volunteers have an SUV)
Time Commitment: Max of 5 hours
Role: Communicate to ambulance and pick up runners who can’t finish. A well-marked SAG Wagon will also assure runners they are on the right course.

Time Commitment: Depends on what mile marker you are stationed at. Max of 4 hours
Role: Call out splits along the course.
