Bag Check

Saturday before race
Set up bag check area.
1.  Make sure the tent has all sides except one so the bag check area will be secure.
2.  Signs are in increments of 100. (ie 1-100, 101-200, 201-300, up to 5,000).
3.  A hammer should be used to put the signs in the ground. (a sharp shooter may be required in case the ground is too dry)
4.  The signs should be placed under the tent and spaced evenly with enough room to place at least 20 bags behind each sign.
5.  Tables should be set up in a line across the side of the tent that is open to only allow a narrow entrance and exit to the area.
6.  Pens and tags should be placed on the tables.

Race Day
Supervise 5-10 volunteers.
Man the Bag Drop tent.
1.  Have runners write race number on tags provided by DRC.
2.  Runner must tie the tag to their bag.
3.  Runner then must enter the tent and place bag behind sign indicating their race number. (Each runner will retrieve their own bag so by them placing their own bag in bag check area they will more quickly find the bag upon retrieval.)

As people finish the race, runners will come retrieve their bag.

Bag drop instructions will be placed in each race packet
